I love this weather. It lures you out of the house and temps you to wander outside. The breeze is uplifting and happiness fills the air.
That is exactly what why my sister and I were feeling, cruising in my car with the windows open, laughing and solifing. The street was surprisingly empty. The sun has just came down and the color of the sky was breathtaking.
I can hear a fast car coming from behind. I look up at the rear view mirror and I can spot a sporty car at an insane speed.
Then...
A LOUD screeching voice...
And with terror, we watch as the car passes us by, swerving out of control, skidding and skidding in circles......
BAAAAAAAAAM
It hits the concrete thingy on the side of the pavement!!!!!
.
.
It all happened in a split second, in a blink of an eye...
Frozen by shock, I slow my car as we pass the crumbled sports car, my heart thumping so hard it deafens my ears, and my sister started shouting hystericzally: STOP THE CAR, STOP THE CAR I TELL YOU!!
Not knowing what else to do, I do as she asks, and park to side of the pavement . "I have to make sure he's ok, 7araam, I just have to.. ", she flings open the door and runs back to the accidenet. I quickly go after her, grab her by the arm : "Wait here. JUST WAIT A MINUTE " ..
By now, many cars have stopped to help. We can see guys going over and trying to open the door of the crushed car. I give out a silent prayer. My sister literally crumbles to her knees when she sees that they have managed to get the driver out. He has one hand over his head indicating a wound there, but other than that he seems ok.
"Al7amdlellah al7amdlellah", I murmer. I look at my sister, she was trembling, her face drained from color and my heart skips a beat for she looks so traumatized . "Yallah let's go now. He's ok and there are alot of guys with him. We must leave now shakelna ghala6".
We head back to the car, and drive home in silence.
