Calling him

Although your comments brought such comfort to my blazing heart, some even put a big smile on my face and made me giggle, I just couldn't go on pretending like everything was ok.

I gave him the cold shoulder all day. Although he tried to shrug this whole matter off and started acting like nothing was wrong, asking me all kind of questions, showing me some article in the newspaper, calling me from dewaniya evey now and then, I just replied with a nod, or a yes or no answers.

Several posts ago, I wrote how we used to argue all the time. I later discovered that saying nothing and not butting heads with him was best as it saves my energy and results in him coming round to his senses and appreciating me more.

It's the next day and I still have my guards up. The phone is ringing. It's X again calling from work trying to make small talk and asking me about silly things. I reply calmy with minimal words and hang up.

I need to vent. I need to talk to someone.
I need to let my feelings out before i explode..

So I dial his number and hold my breath in anticipation.

"No, I'm not 7beebtik now" I continue before he can interrupt me, "I'm calling you now AS MY FRIEND to help me get over this situation with my husband"

"I'm all ears"

"I was talking to him about me wanting to travel to visit my parents when he lashed out at me and ORDERED me to close the subject?? "

"I'm sure you're making it sound bigger than what it really is"

"I tell you he ORDERDEd me, while wagging his finger at me", I can feel the tears stinging my eyes, "Who does he think he is? ", My voice is cracking, "I am his partner in life, his EQUAL. How dare he!! "

"Look", he sighs. "You're blowing this out of proportion". He continues gently while I try to swallow the rising lump in my throat, "He must have been tired after work and didn't want to discuss it. I know it's no way to talk but he never was mean to you before, and I assure you he will not do it again"

"How can you be so sure? "

"Because he told me so. And he also told me he is very very sorry"

Knowing he's regretting what happened eased me a bit, "Is he now ? " I rub in .

"He sure is" He says and I can hear him smile.

"Oh well, ok.. ", I give in. "You better tell him that I will not tolerate this again" I smile, "But for now, he is forgiven"

"Ok", his voice warm and tender "See you soon".

"Bye"

Yes,
calling him and letting it all out was the best thing to do.
He's the only one who can make it all go away.

I went to Alia's wedding ams.
She looked GORGEOUS, didn't she? :)
